The device also comes with Map Share, TomTom’s unique technology that allows users to make their own map changes, and benefit from thousands of free map corrections made by TomTom users every day – free of charge.
The simplified menu gives users easy access to the safety camera database and thousands of Points of Interest pre-installed into the device.

How Does Satellite Navigation work?
Satellite navigation uses the Global Position System (GPS), a network of satellites which transmits signals to your sat nav device. At least 24 satellites are in operation around the world at any one time.
A sat-nav system in a car receives signals from several satellites at one time to pinpoint a precise location. This information is combined with mapping information in the satnav system to establish the exact position of the car and calculate your route.
